Unboxing and Setting Up the HP Officejet Pro 8600 Premium e-All-in-One Printer | HP
Lxpe._. : hey i got this print from a seller and i didnt get the plug cable where can i buy it
alan30189 : I'm so glad you told us to pull back the box flaps in order to get the printer out of the box! I would have never have figured that out! SMH!
Donclips : Very useful for reboxing during house move. Thank you.
Sherry Friedman : I'm trying to connect the HP Officejet pro 8600 plus wired to my Windows 7 computer. I inherited this printer and don't have the set up cartridges or CDs. Can I do it or should I just buy a new printer?
Ken Czys : My paper tray is jammed and stops and sticks out 1/4. I can almost get the tray out but it seems to be stuck on the left side paper holder. Chatted with HP support and he gave no solution. Said HP will call in 24-48 hrs but it's the weekend and I need to print. How do I get the paper tray out?
Chrissie Rufolo : Adem you are awesome
Roger Hendricks : Someone donated a HP Officejet Pro 8600 printer to our church. The printer was never used (still wrapped in the plastic bag, tape, and styrofoam). Unfortunately the SETUP Cartridges were missing. Can I purchase some SETUP Cartridges so that I can utilize this printer? Although I had bought printer cartridges ... the printer won't let me finish the setup without the SETUP Cartridges. Thanks! Roger Hendricks, Southwest Church, Springboro, OH
jay double U : is it possible to get a higher dpi then 300 and how do you do that ?
Rudolph D'Great : Can i print documents like word, excel from my flash drive directly to the printer usb port?
Andrew Sharpe : I need a new printer is this a good one to get? Or is there another HP printer out there

Josh Godoy : Yes!!! It worked. Thank you so much man. It worked.
Happiness in the Desert : I have an 8100 HP & have been using generic cartridges for 2 years... recently it will not print due to “printhead: missing, failed or incompatible” error. Each cartridge states non-HP Ink Cartridge Installed. Any one out there with a work around to clear this error? I’ve unplugged, tried reset; from machine & from computer software, etc. I hope someone out there can help or send me somewhere to fix it.
Mike Daley : Maybe offer tips for things to try before taking the thing apart. Seems like (myself and many others) are just using 3rd party cartridges that dry up. Maybe offer that as a suggestion to check before performing surgery. :)
Lillian Arredondo : It didn't work for me
Classic Update : Please anyone who was able to solve this 2020
Rene Herrera : Great video and I recommend reading the comments below before starting the cleaning procedure. I did the shaking the ink cartridge thing someone mentioned and found it was the issue giving the error. I had already started the cleaning process and stopped halfway through. Save yourself some time and read the comments below first!
Paul Chapman : Thanks for this - it turned out that one of my ink cartridges was completely dry. This was the only cartridge that was a 3rd party one as well, so that may be why this happened rather than the printer just telling me I was out of ink.
Barbarian : For a second I thought he was building a bomb. So slow, meticulous, didn't breath, hands weren't shaking, very precise. Hell!! He is a bomb technician
Clarence Rankins : How do i fix a feeder jam? ADF. I think it is off the track.
Jeff Gedgaud : Words would be nice.

Who_Dat? : Use sandpaper to lightly buff off the coppers. Then, use alcohol wipe to clean off.
Greg Sims : This worked for me !!! It took about 5 minutes. I gave it a try because a new replacement part costs more than I paid for the whole printer 5 years ago. It was either going to work, or I was going to be printer shopping tonight.
Torri Silvas : Where do you get the eraser from? No shade please. Just trying to learn.
taydilarel27 : Today I did have the same error on my officejet pro 8600. It is garbage now. Never HP again!!! Problem solved!
Christian Öhrn : didnt seem to work for me!
Alexandra Blaney : Did not work for me :(
Jim A : I did what this guys shows, Didnt do shit, and I sprayed the contacts with CRC QD electronic cleaner. plus the eraser thing. HP want to fill every landfill in north America with their Plastic shit. Ecology my ass. BULLSHIT! And their are dumb asses that are trying to sell new printheads on ebay for 150 bucks. A new Canon Pixma costs right around a hundred bucks. Advice? Buy a colored Laser
Chris Woods : The smallest screws on the circuit board are Torx T6 size, and to remove the top cover (4 screws) are size T10. Removing the top cover makes it easier to remove and replace the small ribbon cable. The orange big box store sells an 8pc "Fold-Up" Torx set for $6.97 that includes sizes T6 and T10 (upc# 037103269973).
After disassembling the printhead and going through all the motions on this video (and a painful 19 minute long video on the same error), I noticed the contacts on the back of the circuit board were etched by the springs - no matter how much I erased, the etching remained.
While this video worked for some, I still have the same dreaded "Missing or Failed Printhead" error on my HP Officejet Pro 8620.
An HP replacement CR322A printhead is available online for $174 (might as well buy a new printer), and what appears to be a knock-off is available for $38 (quality ?).
HP ain't what it used to be . . . .
Dennis Reid : I lost one of the small springs. Any chance you have one-two you could send me?
Bucky11 : After taking the printhead apart, I could see that your method would not work because one of the contacts was rubbed down by the spring and I since I do not have the tools to repair the contact, I ordered a new printhead. Since I have one extra set of ink cartridge refills sitting around, it is cheaper to get the new printhead than buy a new printer.
